Lacymallen:
I copied and pasted this from the Baby Belly Botanical's site..it sounds to me like you are doing everything right. I don't think you should set the alarm to wake yourself up to use it...afterall you will be needing all the sleep you can get before that baby comes! It sounds like it is really working or at leasy helping you to progress some more (you are quite a ways there already). I would keep doing what you are doing, and maybe call Baby Belly Botanicals and ask them directly. The owners name is Debbie, she can probably give you better advice than I can.
Here is what the site says to do:
Baby Belly Botanicals : Offers products including LaborBoost ( Labor Balm ) which helps in inducing labor naturally.LaborBoost™
FAQ:
How often do I apply LaborBoost™?
LaborBoost™ can be apply every 2 - 6 hours. If you are in early labor it can be applied every hour until active labor is acheived.
How much LaborBoost™ do I use?
Be generous enough to cover your entire belly. It can be applied to the legs, arms, or back also.
How long does it take for LaborBoost™ to work?
Typical results are seen within 24 - 72 hours. LaborBoost™ works best if you are having braxton hicks contractions, and you have started to efface/thin or dilate (2+cm and 50% effaced). LaborBoost™ will not override your body if you are not ready to give birth.
How does LaborBoost™ work by applying it to my skin?
The application of LaborBoost™ to your skin works just as a Horomone skin patch or Nicotine skin patch. Skin is the largest organ of the body. The herbal properties are absorbed through the skin and then released into the body.
What time of day do you recommend putting LaborBoost™ on?
We recommend trying to get a couple of applications on prior to bedtime. This way LaborBoost™ can work with your natural oxytocin levels (labor inducing horomone) which is higher in the evening hours.
